After 1 and a 1/2 weeks away from work and the house due to illness - this is what i've come back to....

Some paint on the walls and ceilings!

Reception 1 -

Pitch Black farrow and ball on the ceiling...edges need to be finished off.

All White farrow and ball on the walls and wood work...1st coat needs to be finished.

When completed - the fire surround will be reinstated and the floor will have it's final lick of Great White farrow and ball floor paint.

Window frames will remain as is.

Reception 2 -

All White farrow and ball on the ceiling.

Pitch Black farrow and ball on the walls + all woodwork apart form the french doors which will remain as is.

When completed - the floor will have it's last coat of Great White farrow and ball floor paint + the slate fire surround and hearth will have 3 or 4 coats of sealant which will make the colour of it even darker.

  1. I recently came across your blog and i LOVE it! I am paining my house with a variation of pitch black, downpipe, and now maybe all white as well. (so when I goodled, your blog popped up) I was wondering though did you have to use the undercoat on the walls? and in the dark rooms did you spray or use rollers/brush? I'm from Texas and my interior decorator wasn't sure the best way to apply this paint as he's never used it.

    1. Hello Victoria, YES - we did use an undercoat on the white walls only...+ we used a spray! Only because of the amount of wall space we needed to cover white...it was quick - easy...BUT - very messy! The black and grey rooms we used brushes and rollers for this.
