So - me Dad turned up this morning to make a start on painting the front door!
He's having lunch break at the moment...So - I've quickly taken some pictures.
I made the decision to paint the font door Farrow & Ball Down Pipe.
This is only the primer at the moment...BUT - you get a really good idea of what the end result will be like!!!
SO HAPPY!!!

I'm your newest follower and in love with your style and blog! The door up date is fantastic. It brings more diversity to the room because before the side table and door were both raw wood.

DeleteGreat choice. I'm very closely going through all your images and trying to piece together how you've handled interior doors. Do you mix up colours or stick to one or two for consistency?
ReplyDeleteI've used 3 Farrow and Ball colours through out the house...All White + Down Pipe + Pitch Black.
DeleteOne more question, Michael--rather mundane-- but how do you keep the landing at the front door clean? I'm about to undergo painting my floors on the main floor and the only thing holding me back from going with very white or very dark is the whole cleaning issue without becoming a slave to my floors. Is a carpet the only sollution. Pls. share your thoughts on this muddy dilemma. Many thx.
ReplyDeleteI do LOVE the look of my floors...BUT - they are a HUGE PAIN to keep on top of!!! That's if your a neat FREAK like me...
