Me dad has finished painting the front door...AND - hes' done a FABULOUS job of it too!!!
I now really HATE the glass and WANT to change it right NOW!!! I feel like taking a hammer to it...Its - that UGLY!!!

DeleteThe glass is NOT that ugly! It kind of goes with the painting in a way. What would happen if you painted the trim separating the doorway area from the stairs/hall the same dark color as the stair rail? Then it might give your eye something to land on before it hits on/obsesses on the glass, distracting you from something that bothers you?

ReplyDeleteI found your blog via Desire to Inspire - I'm sure you'll be flooded with new readers. I have just been back to the beginning and read through almost every single post you've made. Even saved some pictures, though I can't find where my insanity-inducing new mac has hidden them, so most likely I'll be going back through all the posts for a second time. I like your personal style and I'm also intrigued to see the development of your project because I have one of my own happening in Sydney, though whereas yours is all coming together, we're just about to start work. Oh, and we have two dogs as well, though somewhat larger than your little lovelies. Oh, oh, and an ammonite about as vast as yours, which I love.
